406 Updates: Ralph and California, a chat with Arlo (who's up with military school), and tempting Kenneth to go here in Cebu, and friendster...

I've been connected to Ralph on the past months before I went home to Gensan last Oct 13, through Y! IM, of course. I don't know if I was the one who had a hard time to adjust or is it just Ralph seldom shows himself up 'coz he used to do the "invisible" mode at the messenger? (Oh, I just received a text message from Mark Rosales about Christmas thingy-and-stuff 'that reminds me of the fast approaching 406 reunion: Allan Salubre?! Kumusta naman ang followup do?') Anyway, and the time adjustments, too, when I am here very alive, who just jumped out of bed and connected online and there's Ralph (miles and miles away, I think) saying that he needs to go to sleep 'coz it's already 11pm out there in the U.S. Hmm..hmmp! Stupid time zones!

The past month, I think Ralph went back to Manila, from the California obviously because he was done with his track-and-field training abroad. But unfortunately, he didn't go back to Gensan when I was there since he told me before he is not going to Gensan yet. So, I met up with Macoy, Kenneth, Mark Rosales, Harry and Balot and tried to contact Dondon (because I promised him to bring otap and Cebu pasalubong if ever I go home, but no, he was so damn busy that time and I guess the word, "next" time would be appropriate?) Spend time with the other guys, not even seeing the others when I tried to stroll around KCC 2 days before I fly (through plane) back here in Cebu (are they all that busy nowadays? come on...) and the only person (or a couple of other non-406 guys) that I saw were Amador and the one who used to be a dancer from the other section whom Macoy is a close friend with. I forgot his name, sorry.

And the time I am here, to be exact October 18 and feeling so tired from the very hot days and dusty aura in Gensan... (hahay! mangitom man ko ug balik ngadto sa Gensan tingali.. nabuang na!) I dropped by the net and happened to chat with Kenneth who was nicking on his Yahoo Messenger and slow moving so his boss would not catch him doing it, so, he tried to inform me that Arlo (he meant Arthur Lawrence Morales whom I haven't seen for a century now... exaggerating... because he went to the States years ago and surprisingly got married and have a baby and attended military school... whew!)

Yeah, the once baby brother of Class 406 does now have a baby of his own. :) We were like talking and talking about the things that we've missed during the times, and then suddenly, he just told me that he couldn't attend this year's reunion, again, because of the military school or whatsoever, and he mentioned that he was not there during the reunion when it happened to be held on my place?! I said, "Whaaatt?!" And he said, "Yeah!" because that was the time when he flew to the States and so on... and I said, "I mean, that was the most amazing reunione ever?! Why? It was the first time Jeremias Derit attended our reunion... Oh no! You've missed it and all along I was always telling myself that we have perfect attendance that time and you, telling me, were not there?!"

"Arlo, Shut up?!" Sa sunod attend na ka ug reunion oi!!! And bitaw, asa napud kaha si Derit 'ron? Ma-locate pa ba na'to?

Hahay... it is going to be our seventh reunion (but it supposedly be 6th because the first time we had our reunion was December 30, 1999 and to be correct, we haven't graduated that time yet. It was Francis Ymbong's birthday you guys and somebody declared it as our 1st reunion! Kayasa ning mga 406 ni! HehHheeHEHee) and I think Ralph and I or he did volunteer to follow things up, now-Engr. Allan Salubre and his co-legs (ahem, colleagues) Wil, Jeffrey, and Jay-ar and the others... I don't if we could make it outside because I couldn't even contact Allan these days and unfortunately, Kenneth was pushing me on to agree that this year's reunion will be at our place... I think we can't make it there, too, because I told my parents our reunion will be done outside and they prepared something for the family during the holidays. So, sorry guys. I think it's a need for us to find another venue.

Kenneth and Macoy were suggesting to have the reunion at somewhere in Marbel (what is the name of the place again?) because they went to Marbel last October 28, having Dondon and Macoy taking the CSEs (Civil Service Exams) and they dropped by this water-surrounded, boat-rowing, picture-taking, water-everywhere-place the very "laagan" guys have captured on photos below:

They were really enjoying on the pictures, weren't they?

Talking about Kenneth... I tried to tempt him to go here to Cebu because Macoy and Little did come here last June-July and he was like doubtful because the time is so hectic for him and the finance. But I said I will take care of all his food and stay because I have my own house here (a three-storey building with lots of rooms and a huge front room and kitchen and well painted structures and walls and my room is airconditioned, you see, and beside me is my own PC with DSL connection and walk away from my house is Robinsons Mall and a couple of walk is E-mall... then we can go to Ayala Center, or SM or I could invite him to coffee at StarBucks or Bo's or just sit down sight seeing people at the largest and widest Engineering Park of Ayala: the Information Technology Park and sip another coffee... Kenneth? Anyone who wants to come to Cebu and enjoy with my company?? HwehAhah) Kamo ra'y bahala sa inyong ticket...

Friendster... I keep on updating my friendster everyday, and I don't know if you have noticed but I displayed the dark side of me there... and a little twist of Heaven and Hell, all designed and arranged by yours truly... I don't know, I find Friendster too useful to search for friends that I've nearly forgotten and things like that. But hey, what can you know... Out of the Friendster, guys...

So, see you this December, hopefully? And expect someone from the guys to visit me here in Cebu or come with me with I go back here after the reunion... You must think and plan for that fast... Adios!

Fun with the gang (even at a short time)

Harry, Balot, Philip, Macoy & Kenneth @ Jobee National Hiway

Last Friday (13Oct06), and certainly was unplanned, I came back home to Gensan via Davao air flight to join the celebration of my brother's thanksgiving party and my mum's 53rd birthday.

I wasn't anticipating to see the guys back with a short time but I did. I invite Macoy over to attend the party and the story went on... Kenneth made it. Mark Rosales, and Balot. I invited Dondon over but unfortunately, he was out-of-town. I guess everybody's so busy for work. That was Saturday night.

Monday and we all gathered again at Cookie Factory (it is called, "Cookie by Night", literally by night) for some beer and talks... Harry was there... and we dropped by Jollibee (National Highway; where we have the picture taken above) for some french fries and Coffee Jelly and Balot complaining about the amount or the measurement whatsoever of the Ice or something on the Coffee Jelly (he was once the Manager of Jollibee at KCC Mall) :)

The last night I stayed at Gensan, I invited the guys for dinner. Kenneth was there who came first. Mark Rosales, carrying his loads of school works, Harry was late because he had something to tackle with for his school matters, and Macoy, who went off for a Bowling tournament after dinner. A good friend of mine, Arnel [Amantillo] was there, too. He is one of the non-406 guys that I've been communicating with through YM! and Friendster online, this year.

My short stay in Gensan was fantastic. I loved it. Hope to see you during the holidays.

Sorry about the others whom I haven't informed on my sudden going back home. It was really not on my plans.

P.S.
Condolences to the Amantillo family. Arnel's father died last September just this year due to kidney malfunction. My prayers are for him and his family.
